GST portal is that the government’s official website hosted at https://www.gst.gov.in/. All the acquiescence activities of Goods and Services Tax can be done on the website after login into the GST Portal. In this portal, the user can do online GST registration, return filing, Payments, refund application, registration cancellation, and various GST-related processes to the taxpayer.

Taxpayers can also conduct all communications regarding GST through this portal without visiting the tax offices. Not only can the taxpayers check for updates regarding the approval/cancellation of applications and their tax submission status but also can receive an intimation about the govt notices and are allowed to respond back to them. GST Login may be a compact, automated facility that empowers taxpayers to file taxes on their own without professional help.

How to register on GST Portal?

You will need to visit the GST official website then click on ‘GST Practitioners’ click on ‘Register Now.
Select the choice ‘New Registration’, after which you’ll then need to provide the relevant details and upload the required documents.
Once, you provide all the small print, you’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP). Enter the OTP, enter the characters given within the image into the box then click on proceed.
Once you submit all the appliance forms, you’ll be given an acknowledgment number. The application process is going to be completed once you are assigned a GST number and a User ID and password. You can use this detail to login into the GST portal.

GST Login: How to register under GST portal?

STEP 1: Visit www.gst.gov.in Under the ‘Services’ tab, click on the ‘Registration – New Registration’ option.
STEP 2: Within the next page, click on the choice ‘New Registration’ and supply the required details like sort of person (Tax Payer, GST Practitioner, Others, etc.); State; Legal name of the business as per PAN, mobile number, Email, etc. and click on ‘Proceed’ for OTP verification of Mobile Number and Email ID.
STEP 3: After successful OTP verification, you’ll receive a ‘Temporary Reference Number (TRN)’, which should be utilized in subsequent steps of detailed registration.
STEP 4: Follow STEP 1 & 2. However, this time, select on ‘Temporary Reference Number’ option as seen within the image under STEP 2. Provide the TRN and enter the captcha code. Another OTP verification must be done before proceeding further.
STEP 5: Under the new page, you’ll find the saved application. Click on the button given under the tab ‘Action’. This will take you to the detailed registration process, where the person registering must fill in several details and upload relevant proofs before submitting the registration application.

Once the appliance Form is submitted, you’ll receive an Application Reference Number (ARN). Also, the appliance form is subject to mandatory verification within the GST portal, supported by which it could get approved or rejected. Once your New Registration Application has been verified and approved within the Goods and Service Tax Login, you’ll receive a 15 digits GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) alongside a temporary password. You can start logging in by using the GSTIN number because of the User ID and therefore the temporary password which you’ll reset.
